Authorship Criteria

1. Principles of Authorship

Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur recognizes authorship as an acknowledgment of substantial intellectual and scientific contributions to a manuscript. Authorship must reflect the actual contributions of each individual to the research and the preparation of the manuscript.

All individuals listed as authors must meet the authorship criteria described below. Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet the authorship requirements should be acknowledged appropriately in the Acknowledgments section, with their consent.

2. Authorship Requirements

To qualify for authorship, each author is expected to meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial contribution to the conception or design of the research, the acquisition of data, or the analysis and interpretation of data.

  2. Participation in manuscript preparation, including drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

  3. Final approval of the version of the manuscript to be submitted and published.

  4. Accountability for the integrity and accuracy of their contributions and a willingness to take responsibility for addressing questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of any part of the research.

All listed authors should satisfy these criteria and agree to be accountable for their contributions to the work.

3. Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for coordinating communication between the journal and all co-authors throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes.

The corresponding author must ensure that:

  • All authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript.

  • All authors agree to the submission and publication of the manuscript in Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur.

  • The author list and the order of authors are agreed upon by all authors before submission.

  • All relevant disclosures, declarations, and supporting documents are provided accurately.

  • Any changes to authorship during the editorial process are communicated to the editorial office and approved by all authors concerned.

4. Author Contributions

Authors are encouraged to describe their individual contributions clearly during manuscript submission. Where applicable, the journal may use the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) to identify contributions, including conceptualization, methodology, software, validation, formal analysis, investigation, resources, data curation, writing—original draft, writing—review and editing, visualization, supervision, project administration, and funding acquisition.

The contribution statement should accurately reflect the work performed by each author.

5. Changes in Authorship

Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after manuscript submission must be justified in writing and approved by all authors involved, including any author being added or removed. The journal reserves the right to request supporting documentation before approving changes to the author list.

Changes in authorship will not be permitted solely for administrative convenience or without the agreement of all relevant authors.

6. Unacceptable Authorship Practices

Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur does not accept the following practices:

  • Gift or honorary authorship: listing individuals who have not made a qualifying scholarly contribution.

  • Ghost authorship: omitting individuals who have made substantial contributions that warrant authorship.

  • Misrepresentation of contributions: claiming contributions that were not actually made.

  • Unauthorized authorship changes: adding, removing, or changing the order of authors without the agreement of all relevant authors.

The journal may investigate suspected authorship violations and take appropriate action in accordance with its publication ethics policies.

7. Acknowledgments

Individuals who have provided technical assistance, administrative support, language editing, or other contributions that do not meet the authorship criteria may be acknowledged in the manuscript. Their permission to be acknowledged should be obtained before submission.

Financial support, institutional assistance, and other relevant contributions should be disclosed appropriately.

8. Ethical Compliance

All authors are expected to comply with the journal's publication ethics policies and applicable research integrity standards. Authorship must be transparent, accurate, and based on genuine scholarly contributions.

By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur, the corresponding author confirms that the author information and contribution statements have been reviewed and agreed upon by all listed authors.

Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur is committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and integrity in scholarly authorship.
