Correction and Retraction Policy

Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur (JRI) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retraction notices when significant errors or ethical issues are identified in published articles.

Corrections

A correction may be issued when an article contains an error that affects the accuracy or clarity of the publication but does not invalidate its main findings or conclusions. Requests for corrections may be submitted by authors, readers, or other concerned parties to the editorial team. The journal will assess the nature and significance of the reported error before deciding on the appropriate action.

Retractions

An article may be retracted when there is reliable evidence of serious problems, including data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, major methodological errors that invalidate the findings, duplicate publication, or other forms of research or publication misconduct.

Before making a decision, the editorial team will assess the available evidence and, where appropriate, request explanations from the authors and relevant institutions. Decisions will be made carefully, fairly, and in accordance with applicable publication ethics principles.

Expressions of Concern

When substantial concerns arise but an investigation is incomplete or the available evidence is insufficient for a final decision, the journal may publish an expression of concern to inform readers about the issue.

Publication of Notices

Correction, retraction, or expression-of-concern notices will clearly identify the affected article and explain the reason for the editorial action. Where applicable, the original article will remain accessible with a clear link to the relevant notice to preserve the publication record.

All decisions will be handled by the editorial team in accordance with the principles of publication ethics and relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
