Allegation of Research Misconduct
Post-Publication Discussion Policy
Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur (JRI) is committed to upholding research integrity and publication ethics. The journal takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and will assess reported concerns fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with the principles of responsible scholarly publishing.
Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate manipulation of images or research results, duplicate publication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other practices that undermine the integrity of scholarly research.
Reporting Allegations
Authors, reviewers, readers, and other parties may report suspected research or publication misconduct to the editorial team through the journal's official contact channels. Reports should provide sufficient information and supporting evidence to enable an appropriate assessment.
Initial Assessment and Investigation
Upon receiving an allegation, the editorial team will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the concern warrants further investigation. Where necessary, the editor may request explanations or supporting documentation from the authors and may contact the relevant institution or other appropriate parties.
All parties will be treated fairly, and confidentiality will be maintained to the extent reasonably possible during the assessment and investigation.
Editorial Actions
If misconduct is substantiated, the journal may take appropriate action depending on the nature and severity of the case. Such actions may include rejecting a submitted manuscript, requesting corrections, publishing an expression of concern, retracting a published article, or notifying the relevant institution where appropriate.
If the evidence is inconclusive, the journal may seek additional information before making a decision. Editorial actions will be guided by publication ethics principles and relevant COPE recommendations.
JRI aims to protect the integrity of the scholarly record while ensuring that allegations are handled objectively, responsibly, and without unjustified prejudice against the parties involved.
