Manuscript Types

Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur accepts scholarly manuscripts presenting research findings, methodological developments, and scientific analyses in civil engineering and infrastructure engineering that fall within the journal's focus and scope. All submissions must demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution, employ appropriate and scientifically sound methods, and adhere to established standards of academic writing.

The types of manuscripts that may be submitted to Jurnal Rekayasa Infrastruktur include the following:

1. Research Article

A Research Article presents original research conducted systematically using appropriate scientific methods. It may include experimental investigations, numerical modelling, field data analysis, case studies, infrastructure performance assessments, and the development or application of methods in civil and infrastructure engineering.

A Research Article should clearly state the research problem and objectives, describe the methodology, present results and discussion supported by evidence, and provide conclusions that address the research objectives. The manuscript is expected to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge or professional practice in infrastructure engineering.

2. Review Article

A Review Article presents a critical analysis and synthesis of previous research on a topic relevant to the journal's scope. It may take the form of a systematic literature review or another review approach employing clearly defined methods for searching, selecting, and analysing scholarly sources.

A Review Article should provide a meaningful synthesis of existing knowledge, identify research developments and knowledge gaps, and highlight opportunities for future research. A descriptive summary of previous studies without critical analysis and synthesis is insufficient to meet the expectations for a scholarly review article.

3. Technical Note

A Technical Note presents specific technical findings, methodological applications, measurement results, engineering evaluations, or practical experiences relevant to infrastructure engineering. This manuscript type focuses on a specific technical issue and provides information that may contribute to the advancement of engineering knowledge or professional practice.

A Technical Note should describe the technical context, methods or approaches employed, principal findings, and relevant technical implications in a concise and well-structured manner.
